Strip Me Down by Natalie Clarke

Blurb from Goodreads:

Quinn

Whoever penned the phrase ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade’, has clearly never been in my situation. Nineteen years-old and on the brink of eviction, I needed to make money fast.
Stripping for a room full of men was never part of the plan, but then neither was falling for him...
He found me when I was at my lowest. He rooted himself into my life and added my pain on top of his own.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for him, but how can something that feels so right be so wrong?
Because here’s the problem…
He’s my professor.

Dwight

Don't get involved with students.
That's the first thing they tell you when you take this job, and I had no intention to, until I met her...
I shouldn't want her, I shouldn’t notice the things I do about her, but for the first time since losing my wife three years ago, one look at her, and it was as if I could finally breathe again.
I need to stay away. She doesn't need a guy like me in her life, dragging her down with my baggage, but I don’t think I’m strong enough to resist.
She's under my skin.
And as it turns out, I need her just as much as she needs me.

Strip Me Down is a new standalone Professor/Student Romance with a HEA.

**Intended for readers 18+ due to sexual content and possible triggers. This book features some scenes and references to sexual violence and so could be sensitive to some readers.**

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an enjoyable read. This story was about the relationship between Dwight Evans (the professor) and Quinn Taylor (the student). I really enjoyed the story about how two broken people found love and solace in each other. I know it is a student-teacher relationship, but the love that the hero and heroine share is beautiful. Quinn lost her parents a year before their story began, and Dwight lost his wife 3 years prior. Quinn is a struggling student who has to work two jobs to take care of her expenses, she is smart, determined and stubborn. She never gives up, and I really liked her. Dwight is a professor who fell for the wrong person…his student…he did whatever he could to protect her. I thought he was smart, sexy, and protective. Their romance was beautifully written and I want to see them have another book for their married life with kids. Also, I would like to know more about Dwight’s sister, Victoria (Tori) and her daughter, Elysia Lynn (Lissy). Now, I just need to finish Logan and Amy’s story. Overall, a great read.
