Fatal Domain Fatal Domain by Steven James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received an advance review copy for free from Netgalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you Steven James for the opportunity to read your book. This was an incredible read. This is the second book of the Travis Brock series. After the major twist revealed at the end of book 1, we get to continue the story in book 2. I thought the book was well written and the plot was engaging and compelling. This series feels like every time you read the book you will feel like the story is still new and engaging. I thought this book had that quality and it had me on the edge of my seat. Also, I loved the characters. I love the relationship between Adira and Travis. Their chemistry was perfect. Travis is an amazing character. I thought his character was relatable and brave. He was a great character to read. Adira is another amazing character to read. She is my type of heroine. In my eyes, she is feisty and fierce. She is not willing to go down without a fight and those are the types of characters that I love. Gunner also was an exceptional character. The mystery and suspense was awesome. I thought that the ending was fantastic and I am curious to see if the story will continue on book 3. I cannot wait to see what the next instalment has in store for me. Overall, an amazing read.

Review: Murder at an Irish Wedding

Murder at an Irish Wedding Murder at an Irish Wedding by Carlene O'Connor
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great Read

This was an enjoyable read. This is the second book of An Irish Village Mystery series. This cozy mystery series takes place in the village of Kilbane, County Cork, Ireland. I thought this book was better than the first book. In this book, Siobhan Sullivan is catering for the wedding of Alice, a rich model and Paul, one of her boyfriend, Macdara’s friends. Things take a sour turn when the best man is murdered and Macdara is unable to investigate because he is one of the suspects. It is up to Siobhan to find the killer and clear Macdara’s name. I thought the story was great. I enjoyed the mystery. I thought the story was fast-paced and engaging. I enjoyed the O'Sullivan family. My favourite is Siobhan O'Sullivan because she is feisty and relatable. I enjoyed Macdara’s character in this one. Also, I found Siobhan and Macdara’s relationship cute. I thought their romance was sweet because they care about each other so much. I loved the family dynamic and how they were there for each other. I cannot wait to read book three. Murder at an Irish Churchyard, here I come. Overall, a great read.

Review: Manga Classics: Anne of Green Gables

Manga Classics: Anne of Green Gables Manga Classics: Anne of Green Gables by Crystal S. Chan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great Read

I received an advance review copy for free from Netgalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you, Crystal S. Chan, and the original author, L.M. Mongomery for the opportunity to read your book. This was an enjoyable read. This is a part of the Manga Classics series. In this book, we get a manga adaption of the classic tale of Anne of Green Gables. As I read this book, I thought that it did a great job of recreating the same moments that the original book created. I thought that the illustrations were beautiful. I give a lot of credit to the artist, Kuma Chang. The artwork illustrated the story wonderfully. I enjoyed the manga and the way it was written. I did find Anne a bit annoying with her constant chatter, but I liked her because despite she has struggles, she remains optimistic. I believe this is my first Manga Classic, and it did not disappoint. I am glad that I got to read this book in a different format because it made me appreciate the original story so much more. I hope that I get to read more Manga Classic stories. Overall, a great read.

Review: Between Realms

Between Realms Between Realms by Yve Vale
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Okay Read

I received an advance review copy for free from BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you Yve Vale for the opportunity to read your book. This was an alright read. This is the first book of the Fae Hearted series. It is also a reverse harem story. In this book, we meet Wynstelle, a human living with Fae in Elfhame, working as a servant to her keeper, Meralla. She is summoned to the Ryven Castle, where she meets Oakes, Jordan, and Prince Eldrin. I thought the story was good. I did feel like there could have been more about Wynstelle’s past that could have made the story more engaging. However, I thought it was a good start to a new RH series. I thought Wynstelle was a good character. I am a fan of strong, snarky, and more fierce heroines, so it was interesting to read a character like her. She was more submissive and innocent. I wish I could have had a better connection to her as a character, but I think she lacks some character development. Also, I liked Oakes and Jordan. I needed some time to warm up to Princess Eldrin, but I thought he was another good character. Their relationship was good, but I wished to see more interactions with all four of them together. I thought the ending was okay. I am not a fan of cliffhanger, but I am curious about how the next book will turn out. I am looking forward to continuing book 2 of this series. Overall, an okay read.
